The Rainforest Alliance has been recognized as one of the most inspiring organizations in the Netherlands according to the ‘Inspiring 40’ ranking. In the just revealed 2023 study, conducted by impact consultancy Synergie, we have been placed in sixth position, closely behind Too Good To Go, ASML, and Fairtrade Original. Last year the Rainforest Alliance was singled out as an ‘organization to watch’. The Rainforest Alliance was found to be inspirational based on the external understanding of our ability to make a positive impact on the world through meaningful actions and practical solutions, as well as our well-defined vision, and our commitment to honesty, authenticity, and openness. “We’re honored by this recognition, which motivates us to keep working towards a better future for people and planet,” says Marco Maggiorotto, our global Brand Marketing Director. “Inspiration is at the heart of change, and our goal is to inspire more people to join our alliance I’ve seen it!” He added, “And on farms like that, you work harder for less money. Once she found employment at Guadalupe Zajú, she sent for her three youngest children, in part because she saw that they could attend school right here on the farm, on a schedule that coincided with her work hours—a boon to any working mom. Her oldest son, a teenager, opted to stay with his grandmother and friends BYB Directory back in Tacaná, but Morales hopes he’ll come to Guadalupe Zajú when he’s ready to work. But, she added, “he can’t until he’s 18 because they don’t hire minors here.” Food Mexican man smiling Walter Eulícer Pascual Ramírez Walter Eulícer Pascual Ramírez jokes that he comes to Laguna Prime to get some rest. At home in El Quetzal, San Marcos, work is so scarce that he must wake up at 3 am to catch the bus to the nearest possible job, whereas here at Laguna Prime he rolls out of bed at a relatively leisurely 5 am.
While he misses his family back home (“My children are my happiness, my reason for everything I do,” he said), he is comfortable at Laguna Prime. He is paid on a fixed schedule, and he has the afternoon free to play soccer, call his family, or hang out in his room, which he doesn’t have to share with any coworkers. The cafeteria, he said, provides tasty meals, too. How do they compare to his wife’s c and make a positive impact on food and farming, while protecting nature and helping communities thrive”. About the ‘Inspiring 40’ In 2011, Synergie started the annual ‘Inspiring 40’ study. It aims to find the most inspiring organizations in the Netherlands, surveying a broad Dutch audience of 5,829 people to represent the population. For detailed results, please visit this website.
